How MHAC Began
MHAC – Mental Health Advisors & Care California was founded on a deeply personal belief: that every person struggling with addiction deserves access to world-class treatment, regardless of their background or circumstances. What started as a small outpatient counseling practice on North Fresno Street has grown into one of the Central Valley’s most trusted residential treatment facilities, serving individuals and families from across California and beyond.
Our founders recognized a critical gap in Fresno’s behavioral health landscape—too many people were falling through the cracks between emergency rooms, short-term detox stays, and inadequate follow-up care. They envisioned a center that could provide the full continuum of addiction treatment under one roof: from medically supervised detoxification through residential care, outpatient programming, and lasting aftercare support.
Today, MHAC stands as a pillar of recovery in the Fresno community. Our facility at 7462 N Fresno St offers a welcoming, clinically sophisticated environment where clients can heal their minds, bodies, and spirits. We have helped hundreds of individuals reclaim their lives from the grip of substance use disorders, and we remain committed to expanding our reach and refining our approach every day.
